Shane Pruitt to Speak at April Evangelism Workshop and Youth Rally
The Dakota Baptist Convention is sponsoring an evangelism workshop and youth evangelism rally April 24-26 in Rapid City. The keynote speaker for both events is Shane Pruitt. Pruitt is the National NextGen Director for the North American Mission Board.
The theme for the weekend is “Remembering His Name in All Generations.” The key verse is Psalm 45:17—“I will cause Your name to be remembered in all generations; therefore, nations will praise You forever and ever.”
The evangelism workshop will be held at Christ Church. The youth evangelism rally will be held at Calvary Baptist Church. Both churches are in Rapid City, SD.

The evangelism workshop will begin with registration at 4:00 p.m. and dinner at 5:00 on Thursday evening. Pruitt will speak at the workshop on Thursday and Friday evenings, as well as Saturday morning. Todd Fuehrer (Bismarck/Mandan, ND: Community Church) will lead worship. Also preaching in the evening sessions will be John Flowers (Langdon, ND: First Baptist) and Stephen Carson (Belle Fourche, SD: Connection Church).
Breakout sessions will focus on reaching different generations and groups on Friday morning. The leaders include Jeffrey Mueller (Yankton, SD: Restore Church), Jon & Seth Ballard (Spearfish, SD: Connection Church & Connection College), DBC Evangelism Intern Segun Adeyemo, Bethany Savery (Belle Fourche, SD: Connection Church), Jacob Olsen (Yankton, SD: Restore Church) and DBC Executive Director Fred MacDonald. A Friday morning devotional time will be led by Josh Bonner (Rapid City, SD: Calvary Baptist). The workshop will be done around 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
The Youth Evangelism Rally is on Saturday evening from 6:00—8:00 p.m. Worship will be led by the Restore Church Praise Team from Yankton, SD and Pruitt will challenge teens to reach their generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
