First Nations Association Meets in Bismarck

The First Nations Association held their regular meeting March 16-17 in Bismarck, ND. The meeting began with a fellowship meal on Thursday evening and the business session the next morning.

Representatives from the various First Nations churches made preparations for the annual family camp, which will be June 11-16 at Badlands Ministries in Medora, ND. Fellowship Bible Church in Virginia and the Burnt Swamp Association in North Carolina will have a mission team to lead and help guide the camp.

Other reports were provided by Tommy Meely, an Oklahoma evangelist and Kevin Fox, a pastor who is also from Oklahoma. The two shared about the CrossTrain ministry in Oklahoma City.

DBC Executive Director Fred MacDonald gave greetings on behalf of the Dakotas and invited pastors and church leaders to attend one of the upcoming evangelism workshops in April.

The group concluded the meeting with a discussion of association financial procedures and Indian Falls Creek camp. The camp will be the first week of August. They are working with the North Carolina group and another association to rent a cabin together.

First Nations Association is a network of Native American churches in the Dakotas. Chris Little, pastor at Hilltop Baptist Church in Lower Brule, SD, is the moderator of the association.
