Registration open for 2025 DBC Gathering and Annual Meeting
Registration is open for the 2025 Dakota Baptist Gathering and Annual Meeting. The meeting will be October 9-10 at the Wilbert Square Event Center in Brookings, SD. Messengers and guests can register online at www.dakotabaptist.com.
The theme for the 2025 meeting is “Living in Anticipation.” The Gathering will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a message based on this theme from DBC president Chip Holmes (Wolsey, SD: First Baptist). Following his sermon, there will be breakout sessions for men and women. The annual missions banquet will follow, with brief words of greeting from representatives of various SBC agencies.
The keynote speaker this year is Jeff Iorg. Iorg is the new president of the SBC Executive Committee and former president of Gateway Seminary. DBC Executive Director will wrap up the meeting on Friday morning with a message entitled, “Living for the Ultimate Anticipation.”
Worship throughout the meeting will be led by the Connection Sioux Falls Praise Team. Business items for the annual meeting will include adoption of the 2026 budget and calendar and reports from various committees.
On the website there is a link to the Comfort Suites University that will allow messengers and guest to reserve a hotel room at a special rate when they register for the annual meeting. The hotel is attached to the Event Center.
It’s Baker time across the Dakotas
September is the month for the Baker State Mission Offering and Month of Prayer. This year’s theme is “Living in Anticipation.” This year’s goal is $55,000.
The Baker Offering touches everything Dakota Baptists do. When you give to Baker, you are helping pastors and their families in times of crisis or need. When you give to Baker, you are putting missionaries into the field to encourage pastors and resource churches. When you give to Baker, you are helping to start new churches and strengthen established churches. Giving to Baker is the quickest and most effective way to take the gospel across the Dakotas.
Packets have been sent to each DBC church with sample resources for the 2025 Baker State Missions Offering. Each packet included offering envelopes, posters, and bulletin inserts. The bulletin inserts are in both color and greyscale for ease of copying.
