Sturgis Connection Church

Connection Church Sturgis held a week-long outreach in September 2022.  During that week, church members and mission team volunteers engaged in a variety of activities geared at showing love to and involvement in their community.  For one morning over a period of 2 hours, the team opened a tab at a local coffee shop.  Church and team members milled about the shop while customers trickled in.  If a customer had a question for a worker about the fact that the tab for coffee was already paid, one of the team members was there to engage the customer in conversation. 

Another day the team bought popcorn and Red Box movie tickets, and canvassed homes with these gifts.  On yet another day, the team served the community by paying for car washes at a local car wash for a period of 2 hours.  The church’s goal was to hopefully meet some need in the lives of those they interacted with, and for community members they met to see the love of Christ in them.  Connection Sturgis plans for this type of outreach to be a seasonal, regular event.  Pastor Matt Price says that their next outreach of this type is planned for the third week of February, 2023.
